Affordable Flexible Open 3D Resin Printer
LittleRP is a standardized, affordable, open solution for resin printing. This open 3D resin printer is easy to self source and makerspace friendly.

Affordability, Flexibility and openness are the three fundaments of LittleRP. We have only few inexpensive resin printer options in the market. LittleRP is specially designed to be affordable in acquiring, inexpensive in operating and flexible to fit a variety of needs that encourages 3rd party vat designs, linear motion components and DLP light sources. It is available in a range of colors and is ideal for 50-100micron layer heights.  This is an open hardware project, so you will have the access to every STL, every measurement, every lasercut file, BOM and build documentation. For future modifications or any assistance the team of LittleRP is happy to answer your questions.

The kit includes all the equipment within U.S delivery. Projectors for delivery outside U.S are not included. To assemble the parts there is no need of soldering. The software used to slice STL models and feed them to LittleRP is Slicer/Controller. Autodesk® Meshmixer® is suggested to be used for hollowing, but I believe you can use Slic3r to hollow the objects. For adding extra support structures to the model can be performed by Creation Workshop (is free to download, but it not clear if free and open source) and B9Creator® Layout software.

Solderdoodle is a nifty tool with a rechargeable battery and open source hardware. It is portable, cordless and lightweight. It has heats up to 700ºF in just few seconds. It can be recharged from a USB Port. As it is portable, you can take it anywhere and charge it with one of these: Laptop, USB Battery, Wall Adapter, USB solar charger.

Though you like your premium soldering iron, Solderdoodle Pro is a great one for quick jobs. It uses a high power charge controller from Maxim and battery that is used I Tesla electric car. The soldering iron tip can be replaced using off-the-shelf components.

Apeiros-Open-Source-Robot

Apeiros is a programmable robot which promotes learning and education. It can be used as a tool for teaching Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics.

Abraham L. Howell has designed Aperios using 3D Computer Aided Design (CAD) software. It is developed based on UNO32 development board, so that additional shields can be developed and used to meet various application requirements. The motor and shield are designed around the Nucleo F401RE development board. Apeiors is also available in injection molded plastic body, which on production is more cost effective than 3d printing.

With respect to hardware and software it is completely open source, so you can examine, modify the source code along with electrical design files for motor and sensor shield. As it is a low-cost and open source robot, it can be leveraged by hobbyists, researchers, educators and students.
